Tin Hut Textiles has an exhibition starting this week in the Pond Gallery at Snape Maltings nr Aldeburgh in Suffolk from Friday 4th September to Wednesday 9th September.

My first foray into doll making will be there!

Also some other framed pieces based on some design work from my sketchbooks;

Anglia Textile Works exhibition has just gone up at Cowlslip workshops in Launceston in Cornwall. It is on until the 6th September.

Making Art Cloth.
30th October - 1st November 2015 at Zinc Arts, Chipping Ongar, Essex.

You will try a range of techniques to make art cloth ready for you to take home and make into quilts, bags etc.
Screen printing - use various resist techniques such as freezer paper, flour paste and soy wax resist. You can experiment with thermofax screens, trans foils and printing your designs with your own design of printing blocks

Parisian Garden, selected for and touring with the Worlds Quilt and Textile show in the USA. Printed with acrylic paint on cotton fabric, then machine Quilted. Approx 3ft x 2ft.

Just got back from the Festival of Quilts - it was a great show! One of my students got a judges choice - that means that her quilt was chosen by that judge from all the comparative categories.We [Creative Stitch Suffolk] had two students whose work was selected for the C&G Gallery and Mary [ the tutor who works with me] and a student had work selected for the CQ Gallery, which was juried.
