Well I am very proud of myself as I won the Art Quilt section of the Festival of Quilts in Birmingham last week!
The win was totally unexpected as I had made the quilt for an ATW exhibition at Loch Lomaond in Scotland - I though I would just put it into the Festival! I won £1000 which is very useful and will pay some bills!!
I also found out on Friday that a quilt I had put int the World Quilt and Textile show [USA] won an Honourable Mention! Two awards in one week!
Enjoy!

Congratulations - it is beautiful. Wish I'd been able to get there to see it in the flesh.

I saw the quilt and thought it absolutely wonderful, especially the coloured section. I did not buy a catalogue this year (saving my money for the traders) so I did not know whose it was. I am a great admirer of your work and was at a talk you gave to our quilt group (Berkhamsted Quilters)two or three years ago. This is yet another style; all I can say is 'wow'!
